The Heart of the River Parishes
One Parish.
One Heart.
One Future.
One Parish. One Heart. One Future.
There is something special about St. John. It's in our people, our traditions, our neighborhoods, and the pride we share in calling this place home.
Hear from the people of St. John about what makes our Parish the Heart of the River Parishes.
The Heart of It All.
There's so much that makes St. John special. From the people who call it home to the traditions that bring us together, our story is one of community, culture, opportunity, and growth.
The Heart of Community
In St. John, neighbors are family. Whether it's gathering under the Friday night lights, helping one another through difficult times, or celebrating life's everyday moments, our greatest strength has always been our people.
The Heart of Culture
Our traditions run deep. From the flavors that make us the Andouille Capital of the World to the music, celebrations, and stories passed down through generations, our culture is something we share and take pride in.
The Heart of Opportunity
Situated along the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, St. John connects people, businesses, and industries to opportunity. It's a place to build a career, start a business, and create a future.
The Heart of Growth
We're proud of where we've been and excited about where we're going. Through investments in education, economic development, and our communities, we're working to build a stronger St. John for generations to come.
The Heart Revealed
On September 24, our community came together to celebrate the unveiling of St. John the Baptist Parish's refreshed seal and brand.
The Heart Revealed was more than a celebration of a new look. It was a chance to recognize the people, traditions, and shared pride that make St. John the Heart of the River Parishes.
